Timerine, developed by NonbuTech, is a simple focus/break timer. This Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed when you use the app.
1. Data we collect
Timerine does not require registration and does not ask you to enter personal profile information (name, phone number, address, etc.).
Depending on how you use the app, the following data may be processed:
A. Data stored locally on your device
The app stores settings and timer state locally (on-device), such as:
- Timer durations (focus/break minutes).
- Auto-start settings and delay.
- Theme mode (system/dark/light).
- Notification preferences.
- Timer state needed to restore the countdown (running/paused/next session info).
- Daily stats (e.g., completed focus sessions and focused minutes).
This local data remains on your device unless you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app.
B. Analytics data (Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve the app. Firebase Analytics may collect information such as:
- App events (e.g., app opens, screen views, and basic usage events).
- Device/app information (e.g., device model, OS version, app version).
- Identifiers used for analytics measurement (e.g., app instance identifiers).
- Network information processed as part of normal service operation (for example, IP address may be processed by Google services for security, fraud prevention, and basic location estimation, depending on region and service settings).
We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect sensitive personal information.
C. Advertising data (Google AdMob) — if ads are shown
If ads are enabled (i.e., you are not Premium and consent is available where required), the app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may process:
- Advertising identifiers (such as Advertising ID, if available).
- IP address and approximate location information derived from it (as part of network communication and ad delivery).
- Device information (model, OS version).
- Ad interactions and performance data (impressions, clicks, diagnostics).
- Fraud prevention and security signals.
D. Purchase/subscription data (Google Play Billing)
If you subscribe to Premium, purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment details. Google Play provides us purchase status information (e.g., whether Premium is active) so we can unlock Premium features.
2. How we use data
We use data to:
- Provide core functionality (timer, notifications, saved settings, and stats).
- Maintain app stability and improve performance and features (analytics).
- Show ads when applicable (ads).
- Enable and restore Premium subscription benefits (billing).
3. Third-party services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (analytics).
- Google AdMob (ads).
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) (consent for ads where required).
- Google Play Billing (subscriptions).
These services may process data according to their own policies and settings.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
Data may be shared with the third-party services listed above only as needed to provide analytics, ads/consent, and billing functionality.
5. Children’s privacy
Timerine is a general-audience app and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
6. Your choices and controls
- Premium: If you purchase Premium, ads are disabled.
- Consent: Where applicable, you can review or change your consent choices via Google’s consent flow.
- Advertising ID: On many devices you can reset or limit the Advertising ID in device settings.
- Notifications: You can enable/disable in-app notifications in the app settings and also control notification permissions in system settings.
- Delete local data: You can delete locally stored app data by clearing the app’s storage/data in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
7. Data retention & deletion
- Local app data (settings, timer state, and stats) is stored on your device and remains until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
- Analytics and advertising data may be retained by Google services (Firebase/AdMob) according to their retention settings and policies. You can limit or reset certain identifiers (like Advertising ID) via device settings.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data. Data sent to third-party services is transmitted over secure network connections (HTTPS) as provided by those services/SDKs.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date.
