Give one task a clear place
A focus session starts with a decision about what you want to do next. It might be reading a section of a book, working through a programming problem, studying a topic or making progress on a household task. Set a focus duration that fits the next piece of work, then start the countdown.
Timerine also has a separate break timer. Focus can be set from 1 to 240 minutes and breaks from 1 to 60 minutes; the defaults are 25 and 5 minutes. Choosing the two independently lets you fit the pattern to your task. You can start with a modest session and change the settings after you have tried it.
Choose how sessions connect
Auto-start settings control whether the next session begins automatically, and a delay of 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds gives you a configurable transition. A manual start is useful when you want to decide what comes next each time. Automatic starts can suit a period when you already know you want to repeat the focus-and-break pattern.
Try the transition with a short session before relying on it during a longer work block. Notice when the current session ends, how the next one begins and whether the delay suits your routine. The getting started guide walks through these choices.
Notifications and appearance
Session notifications can tell you when focus or break sessions start and finish. You can manage notification preferences in Timerine and control the app’s notification permission in Android settings. Checking both is useful if the countdown works but the reminder you expected does not appear.
Theme settings include light, dark and system modes. Choose the appearance that is easiest for you to read in your usual setting. Timerine stores settings and the timer state on your device, including the information used to restore a running or paused countdown.
A record of focus and breaks
Statistics include completed focus sessions, focused minutes and break minutes. You can review the day, the last seven days or the last thirty days, with charts to show the pattern over time. Read the session count alongside minutes, especially if you change session lengths.
For example, several short sessions and a smaller number of long sessions can represent similar amounts of time. The figures are most useful alongside what you were doing and how much time was available that day. The statistics guide shows how to review that record without turning every day into a target.
Set up without registration
Timerine does not require registration or personal profile information. Settings, timer state and daily statistics are stored locally. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the local copy. Android backup may restore eligible settings and data later, depending on your device’s backup settings. Timerine does not have a separate account-based cloud sync.
The app includes advertising where applicable. Premium disables ads, and the subscription is handled through Google Play Billing. The Timerine FAQ covers Premium, local data and notification questions.
Build a pattern around your day
Use focus and break examples to plan work, reading, study and short tasks. Start with one realistic task, try the pattern and adjust one setting when you know what needs changing.
